Filipinos are fond of saying this greeting whenever they meet each other again after a long while, or when asking somebody what’s up or how it feels as they met.
Pinoys are not just like that. We also invite you to join in our table and partake whatever and how plenty or few food is there by saying “kain tayo!” (in Tagalog), “kaon ta!” (in Visayas), “mangan ta mu!“, etc. which literally means an invitation to join in partaking the food as in saying “let’s eat” and should be translated into “join us” or ” you can have this food too with us”.
That basically is the best example of how hospitable Pinoys are.
